A company is looking for a Public Policy & Communications Assistant to provide support for federal government relations and external communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track Capitol Hill activities, maintain press lists, and manage databases
- Assist with research on policy issues, media outlets, and relevant documents
- Support lobbying efforts, organize events, and draft content for various audiences
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in government relations, grassroots campaigns, or issue advocacy
- Demonstrated interest in public policy and animal protection issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Must reside in the United States, preferably in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area
