Job Summary

A company is looking for a Retail Staff Underwriter II to support the retail and wholesale platform in mortgage loan underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters/originators/processors with loan questions and scenarios
• Maintain a small pipeline of loans during peak underwriting volumes
• Review and submit tax returns and issue VA NOV's for VA appraisals

Required Qualifications

• High school education
• 5 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting
• Experience with FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA Rural Housing investor loans
• Designated as an FHA DE underwriter, VA SAR, and VA Lapp underwriter within 6 months of hire
• General understanding of underwriting and compliance guidelines
