Job Summary
A company is looking for a Regional Interconnection Manager responsible for managing the interconnection process and strategic transmission assessments in target markets across the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update strategic plans for new markets, including tariff and interconnection process assessments
- Lead the interconnection process and negotiations for new development projects, including managing consultants and conducting power flow simulations
- Represent the company in relationships with utilities, ISOs, and stakeholders regarding transmission and interconnection issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with an emphasis on power systems
- Master's degree in Engineering, Energy Policy, or Business is preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in transmission planning and power generation interconnections
- Expert knowledge of generation interconnection tariffs and agreements in key markets
- Strong project management and negotiation skills
