Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist with expertise in developing assays and algorithms in the liquid biopsy space.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel assays, algorithms, and models to detect oncology-related biomarkers from NGS data
• Design and conduct analyses to derive insights from large multi-modal datasets
• Lead and mentor other scientists and engineers while producing detailed project documentation

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science
• 5-10 years of industry or academic experience
• Computational skills using Python and/or R
• Expertise in developing NGS pipelines and statistical models in high-performance computing environments
• Proven scientific reputation through publications or contributions to product development
