Senior Geospatial Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Geospatial Scientist - Electrical Transmission.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary geospatial point of contact for electric transmission projects
• Collaborate with client services and project managers to develop innovative GIS solutions
• Implement automation to streamline GIS workflows and establish standard practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field with GIS emphasis
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant industry experience, including five (5) years in a GIS analyst or lead role
• Experience with electric transmission siting and complex datasets related to transmission infrastructure
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro 3.x and experience using ArcGIS Online
• Strong background in suitability modeling and raster-based scoring
