Key Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up activities on accounts, including resolving uncollected balances and contacting payors or patients
- Document account actions and maintain productivity goals while assisting with training and support for team members
- Participate in special projects and compile data to address payer or account issues effectively
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2-5 years of experience in Medical/Hospital Insurance related collections
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Minimum typing requirement of 45 wpm
- Understanding of the revenue cycle process and insurance billing terminology
