Staff Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Security Engineer to lead complex security initiatives across a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end security projects, providing technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers
• Design and implement secure architecture for cloud-native applications, focusing on AWS/GCP and Kubernetes
• Develop and maintain security standards, automation, and monitoring systems for visibility across the technology stack

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
• Deep understanding of cloud security in AWS/GCP environments and containerized workloads (Kubernetes)
• Strong coding skills and experience with security automation and tooling
• Experience with identity and access management solutions, particularly Okta
• Security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, AWS/GCP security certifications) are preferred
