State Licensed Deputy Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy Counsel to join their legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate legal documents, including client engagement letters and contracts
• Advise on litigation risk and manage coordination with outside counsel
• Assist with regulatory compliance and conduct legal due diligence for M&A transactions

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing with at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, including litigation and contract work
• Prior experience in an accounting or professional services firm
• Familiarity with employment law and HR-related legal issues
