Texas Licensed Special Education Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Instructional Supervisor, Special Education (6-8).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of special education teachers and support staff for middle school students in a virtual environment
• Ensure compliance with special education regulations and conduct periodic observations of online instruction
• Oversee the development and review of IEPs, providing guidance during ARD meetings and ensuring parent involvement

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
• Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education
• At least 5 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher and 2-3 years in a leadership role
• Expertise in federal and Texas state special education laws and regulations
• Experience in a virtual or online school environment is essential
