Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist to join their Payments Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review new B2B SaaS merchant applications for completeness and risk indicators
• Perform KYB/KYC reviews to validate business legitimacy and ensure compliance
• Analyze account risk through various metrics including processing projections and refund policies

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of underwriting experience in payments or financial services, preferably with SaaS businesses
• Strong knowledge of KYB/KYC practices and merchant risk assessment
• Familiarity with Card Brand rules and sponsor bank underwriting requirements
• Ability to assess creditworthiness for businesses with recurring revenue models
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
