Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist responsible for producing accurate and timely rates for customers while evaluating and selecting risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the quote process by evaluating and executing technical aspects to generate accurate rates
• Identify and apply underwriting risk rules, evaluate classifications, and generate rates within service standards
• Partner with Underwriters and other teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of cases and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• 2-to-4-year college degree preferred or related industry experience
• Experience in customer interactions and ability to communicate effectively with sales and market partners
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with solid math skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demonstrate leadership skills
