Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing correct code assignment
• Review medical records for coding errors and opportunities for education
• Serve as a technical expert/resource for accurate and ethical coding and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• University Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education)
• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Experience in medical coding compliance
• Ability to work in a remote environment
