Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Operations Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and review prior authorization requests, rendering coverage determinations based on clinical criteria and plan design
• Collaborate with team members to process referrals and handle inbound and outbound communications with healthcare providers and patients
• Maintain professional knowledge of drug and disease states relevant to the pharmacy programs administered

Required Qualifications and Education

• Prior experience with prior authorization reviews or clinical case review in a high-volume setting
• Comfortable multitasking using multiple technology platforms and clinical resources
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Experience working with both clinical and non-clinical staff
• Retail experience is acceptable and welcomed
