Residential Building Materials Estimator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Residential Building Materials Estimator to estimate loose material orders for complex residential projects, either onsite or remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize designs for accurate costing and review takeoffs for accuracy
• Prepare detailed construction proposals from customer blueprints and assist sales with clear information presentation
• Assist in training and development of other estimators as required

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of 5-8 years of building material estimating experience required
• Experience with Planswift, Timberline, MiTek, or similar design software
• Minimum high school graduate; preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
• Must be able to learn new computer programs quickly and type at a speed of at least 50 WPM
• Knowledge of roof and floor system building materials is preferred
