Vice President of Transmission

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vice President of Transmission and Interconnection.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transmission strategies to support the project portfolio
• Oversee interconnection processes across multiple ISOs/RTOs for effective grid connections
• Lead the development of power flow models and conduct transmission studies for project feasibility

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in the power or energy industry focused on transmission planning or interconnection strategy
• Expertise with RTO/ISO markets, including interconnection queue management and stakeholder processes
• Strong understanding of FERC regulations and market design related to renewable and storage projects
• Proficiency in power systems modeling tools such as PSSE, PowerWorld, or similar
