Distributed Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) - Service Networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate functionality within the data plane and control plane to enhance security, observability, and resilience for cloud traffic
• Improve developer and product experience through collaboration with team members and customers

Required Qualifications

• Experience in building and operating highly reliable distributed systems in a cloud environment
• Knowledge of Service Mesh technologies such as Envoy, Istio, and LinkerD
• Experience with performance optimization for Service Mesh
• Deep understanding of gRPC and security concerns like DDoS, TLS, and authentication
• Ability to navigate ambiguous areas and break down complex problems with minimal guidance
