In this newly created role as an Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead a team of three tenured AP/AR specialists who are dedicated to providing superior customer service to internal and external business partners. You will appreciate knowing our environment is more heads up and engaged with the business and the team partners closely with their finance peers in the analysis and distribution of financial information. Work Location:
We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days WFH (Monday & Friday).
You’ll share your passion and talents with us in the following ways: Accounts Payable Manager
Lead and inspire a team of three AP/AR Specialists responsible for the centralized accounts payable function. In addition, the team provides financial oversight, reporting and analysis of accounts receivable balances. * Collaborate with 5-person Finance team to complete month- & year-end close processes accurately and on time.
Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems that support the financial health of the business. * to identify and execute best practices.
Ensure the input, approval and processing of vendor invoices, return to vendor documentation, staff member expense reports, new vendor set up, and the weekly payment runs including check, ACH, and wires.
Complete daily reconciliation of banking activity, credit cards, financing programs, and gift cards.
Provide financial oversight, reporting and analysis or accounts receivable balances each month. (Our locations independently review and collect accounts receivable balances each month). * Pull data to fulfill external audit requests.
Complete and file all 1099’s annually. * Ensure a strong system of internal controls in all accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Identify, lead and insure best practices and process improvements related to the A/R & A/P area including ongoing system implementations and upgrades.
As an experienced Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll bring the following qualifications & experience: Accounts Payable Manager
4+ years practical A/R & A/P experience
Minimum of 5 years in similar role that includes leading a team of professionals
BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
Strong working knowledge with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g. SAP or similar system) and AP routing/approval systems
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; confidence in interacting with external and internal partners in a knowledgeable and helpful manner * Detail oriented, with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
A self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
