Senior Scala Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Scala Developer to support their Data Science and Engineering cluster with a Cloud Migration project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the migration of services to the AWS Cloud while upgrading the Scala codebase
• Develop and maintain Scala-based microservices and distributed systems
• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices in cloud architecture and software development

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Scala development
• Strong experience with Scala 2.x and Scala 3
• Deep understanding of Akka
• Experience with AWS Cloud services such as ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, and EC2
• Familiarity with Shapeless and Scala 3 mirrors
