Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Systems Engineer III to oversee engineering and support of production and non-production environments for software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer and architect enterprise-grade middleware solutions while investigating root causes across the OSI model
• Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively respond to capacity and recovery issues
• Provide off-hours support and perform periodic failover/DR testing, creating necessary plans

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineering or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience
• Minimum 8+ years' experience managing complex applications in IT environments
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with middleware technologies and application support
• Familiarity with scripting technologies such as PowerShell or Python for task automation
