Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Underwriter - Level 4.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze conforming agency loans and evaluate consumer loan applications to assess creditworthiness
• Provide training and mentoring to junior underwriters and perform mortgage credit analysis
• Maintain production goals and ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred
• Recent underwriting experience in the mortgage industry
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including HMDA and Regulation Z
• Proficient knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office
• Ability to understand and recommend changes to standard operating procedures
