Sodium Fire Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sodium Fire Design and Analysis Engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop methodologies for sodium fire modeling and analysis
• Perform commercial grade dedication of sodium fire modeling codes and support regulatory submissions
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to establish safety and performance requirements for sodium fire protection

Required Qualifications and Skills

• M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or a relevant engineering degree with at least 10 years of experience in the nuclear field
• In-depth knowledge of sodium chemical reactions and nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic
• Experience with sodium fire analysis using relevant computer codes
• Familiarity with nuclear design, regulatory requirements, and risk-informed performance-based technology guidance
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills
