Staff Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Engineer to drive technical excellence and support the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions
• Take ownership of critical components within the Ruby on Rails stack and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing and shipping scalable and reliable systems, preferably with Ruby on Rails, React/Vue, and AWS
• Several years of experience as a senior developer with responsibilities over team outcomes
• Passion for continuous learning and improvement in software engineering
• Ability to thrive in an autonomous role while promoting a supportive team environment
• Residing in Australia or New Zealand is required for this position
