State Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Technicians and Nurses to process authorization requests and reviews clinical data
• Coordinates communication of case decisions to healthcare professionals and manages approval/denial processes
• Handles inbound calls and escalations regarding Prior Authorization and maintains communication among stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D. required
• At least two years of experience as a pharmacist
• Active pharmacist license in state of residence in good standing
• Experience with Prior Authorization or Hospital preferred
• Minimum of 2-5 years of clinical experience with specialty medications or clinical review of prior authorization requests preferred
