System Architect Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a System Architect Lead (Process Automation, Life Science Manufacturing) to oversee automation system architectures in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, design, and implement automation system architectures ensuring alignment with enterprise digital strategy and compliance
• Author and review architecture documents and present options to leadership
• Lead the creation of secure and scalable automation infrastructure and guide system integrators on architectural standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Automation, Computer Science) or related field
• 10+ years of experience in automation architecture within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Expertise in designing and integrating DCS, PLC, MES, SCADA, and data historian systems
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
• Clear understanding of automation compliance requirements, including GMP and GAMP principles
