Telecommunications Field Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Converged Technologies Field Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform client-site servicing, repair, and installation of telecommunications systems and equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures while minimizing customer downtime
• Provide technical support and recommendations to improve system performance and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• General knowledge of telecommunications equipment and systems
• Mitel telecom certifications, A+, NET+, CTP, and CCNA are required
• Six+ years of field support experience with at least one year in telecommunications installation
• Experience supporting VoIP, IP Telephony, and Unified Messaging is strongly preferred
• Practical experience in network design and management of LAN/WAN systems is preferred
