Tennessee Licensed Behavioral Health Advocate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Care Advocate (Assessment & Triage) to manage case management and utilization review for behavioral health and substance abuse cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide crisis line coverage, reviewing clinical data for medical necessity and authorizing services
• Manage case load by assessing requests for services and consulting with physicians on denials
• Conduct clinical assessments and assist in care coordination while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Required Qualifications

• Independently licensed Masters-level mental health professional, licensed Ph.D., or Registered Nurse with 3+ years of recent behavioral health experience
• Active and unrestricted license in the state of Tennessee
• 2+ years of clinical experience in a related mental/behavioral health setting post-independent license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn multiple proprietary software applications
• Permanent residence in the state of Tennessee with access to high-speed internet and a designated quiet workspace
