A company is looking for a Verification of Benefits & Prior Authorization Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform insurance verifications and authorizations for orthotic and prosthetic devices
- Communicate insurance coverage requirements and benefits to patients and team members
- Manage patient account profiles and documentation for authorization processes
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in medical billing, preferably in orthotics or prosthetics
- Experience with HIPAA regulations and insurance carrier websites
- Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office and databases
- Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm and excellent ten-key skills
