Wound Care Collections Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a RCM Wound Care Collections Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities, including follow-ups on denials and filing appeals
• Monitor and analyze payer trends to ensure timely resolution of claims
• Document collections activities accurately and assist with third-party payer correspondence

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred; minimum five years related experience
• Five years of wound care billing/collections experience preferred
• Proficient in billing guidelines for Advanced Wound Care and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
• Understanding of insurance guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial managed-care plans
• Ability to operate relevant software such as Express/HDMS/Waystar proficiently
