Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative- Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve uncollected account balances by contacting third-party payors and patients
• Maintain productivity goals while documenting account statuses and actions taken
• Assist with special projects and escalate payment delays or issues to management

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with patient accounting applications
• Intermediate knowledge of Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid collections
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
