I have a small personal injury, law firm as well as a small real estate business.
I keep my books through QuickBooks online.
I have been through a few book keepers and a couple of Accountants in the last few years.
The Accountants are not responsive and the book keepers have been largely bad, and many expenses are mis-categorized. Changes have been made the files I do not like, and an entire account was added/settings changed.
My current Accountant has fixed things, somewhat.
My struggles with finding a book keeper whoc an do monthly reconciles is such that I am just going to train my paralegal to do it.
That leaves needing a good Accountant who WANT to help me reduce taxes and pay on time to avoid menalties and itnerest which have been routine over the last 5 years.
A small business paying an accountant should never have to pay late.
My businesses are not complex. My businesses do not involve thousands of monthly transactions. They dowload into QBO. They get categorized the same way every month. There will be corrections to this, for certain.
The Law business has less than 100 transactions per month, and often has under 50. My real estate business has maybe 50 transactions per month tops, usually less, and as I said, they have already been categorized and tagged, but as I have said, seemingly incorrectly.
If you are a full service accountant, can do taxes, and can reconcile monthly for a reasonable rate, we should talk, as well, since I am not happy/not unhappy with my current Accountant.
If you can help, this will be a remote, long term arrangement.
I am low maintenance. I just want to stop paying taes late and paying penalties for late filings.
If interested, write me a cover letter or send me a quick, 30 second video introducing yourself and addressing: (1) Do you do full service accounting & tax?; (2) do you have experience with small personal injury law firms and real estate rental companies, both of which are very small businesses, and small businesses in general?; (3) Can you help me minimize taxes?; (4) why should I hire you?
Thanks, and I look forward to working with you.
