AHIMA/AAPC Licensed ED Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Facility/Profee ED Coder - (Part-Time, Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Code all diseases and conditions for the Emergency Department following ICD-10-CM, UHDDS, and AMA CPT-4 standards
• Stay updated with coding policies and procedures, including any changes from the company and clients
• Maintain a coding accuracy rate of 95% or higher while meeting productivity standards and ensuring HIPAA compliance

Required Qualifications

• AHIMA and/or AAPC credentials (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, COC, or equivalent) required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Facility and Profee ED coding experience
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 outpatient coding principles
• Proficiency in Injections & Infusion coding and E/M coding
• Availability for at least 20 hours per week and must be US-based
