Job Summary

A company is looking for an AVP, Contract Surety Market Facing Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite new and renewal business while ensuring high-level service to customers
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities, and negotiate terms and conditions to close deals
• Develop strong broker and client networks, and contribute to the development of underwriting manuals and guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Underwriting, Finance, Accounting, or Banking
• Experience in claims or underwriting support with a minimum of 10 years may also be considered
• Completion of an approved Apprenticeship program with an associate degree and relevant experience is acceptable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working under time constraints for quotes
• Experience working in a team environment
