Backend Research Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Engineer / Software Engineer (backend).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed backend systems that scale reliably and securely
• Deploy and operate services in AWS
• Own problems end-to-end from design through deployment to production support

Required Qualifications

• Experience building and operating scalable, distributed systems
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Deep experience designing and optimizing relational databases, particularly Postgres
• Comfortable working with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform or CDK)
• Eager to learn new tools, languages, and technologies as needed
