Battery Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Battery Engineer who will be involved in battery augmentation projects from conception through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design engineering of electrical, structural, and civil aspects of utility-scale energy storage projects
• Manage multiple concurrent battery augmentation projects, collaborating with external Engineers of Record and project teams
• Support energy storage strategies through technical and market analysis while identifying value engineering opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program
• 5+ years of proven engineering experience
• Expertise in substation or utility-scale energy storage design and/or project management
• Strong knowledge of energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries and power conversion units
• Familiarity with construction methods and safety practices related to energy storage systems
