Bioinformatics Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Analyst II to support data analysis and tool development in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, document, and maintain RNAseq and OMICs data-analysis pipelines and tools
• Detect and resolve software bugs and performance issues while providing technical support
• Educate and train colleagues on the usage of bioinformatics tools

Required Qualifications

• Degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, biophysics, biotechnology, or related field
• BS with 2-4 years of experience or MS with 0-2 years of experience
• Advanced knowledge in programming languages such as R and Python
• Experience in front-end/tool development, particularly with R-Shiny or React frameworks
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) and high-performance computing (UNIX)
