ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Claims and Contract Review Specialist to join our team.
This role supports the end-to-end process of construction-related insurance claims, from on-site damage assessments to documentation and contract review. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction or home insurance claims, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work independently. Over time, this role will expand to include broader administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document data and observations from residential visits, including damage assessments such as leaking roofs, and collect relevant details for claims.
- Liaise with homeowners to gather insurance documentation and guide them through the claims process.
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage eligibility.
- Accurately enter claim data and key attributes into spreadsheets and internal systems.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance providers in a timely and compliant manner.
- Review service and repair contracts for compliance and document essential terms.
- Maintain organized records of past claims and contracts for reference and audits.
- Provide general administrative support, with potential to evolve into a broader administrative role.
- Proven experience in the construction industry or handling home insurance claims.
- Strong understanding of residential repair contracts and insurance policy documentation.
- High level of accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and digital documentation tools.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks without supervision.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with Australian clients and familiarity with Australian insurance standards is a plus.
