Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to provide coding services for various medical practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various medical specialties
• Calculate ProFee E/M levels and recognize critical care cases
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience
• Familiarity with EMR and billing systems is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Must maintain ongoing productivity and quality scores of 95% or higher
