Certified Flagger Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Subject Matter Expert - Certified Flagger Instructor/Trainer.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product design team to develop authentic task simulations for immersive training products
• Guide designers during the exploratory phase, outline review, and storyboard review
• Create task analyses detailing the knowledge and steps required for trainees to perform specific skills

Required Qualifications

• Certified Flagger Instructor or Trainer with certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ATSSA, NSC, state DOT)
• 3-5+ years of experience as a flagger, crew lead, or site supervisor on active roadwork or infrastructure projects
• Deep knowledge of Work Zone Safety Protocols and understanding of MUTCD standards and regulations
• Experience in training adult learners, particularly in union halls or apprenticeship programs
• Strong technology skills, particularly with virtual reality products, are beneficial
