Certified HCC Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an HCC Coding Quality Specialist responsible for reviewing the accuracy of HCC coded records.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and ensure accuracy of HCC coded records according to Medicare and ICD-10-CM guidelines
• Support findings to help coders identify and learn from errors
• Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher and comply with all privacy and security regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Must be certified through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CRC, CCS, or CCS-P)
• At least 3 years of HCC coding experience with 2 years of auditing experience
• Working knowledge of EMRs, billing systems, and abstraction platforms
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work independently from home with a reliable internet connection
