Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance information and confirm payer plans are up to date
- Collect estimated self-pay balances and assist patients with financial arrangements
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate insurance verification and authorizations
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or institutional setting
- Certification in healthcare access or patient account management required upon hire
- Computer/data entry experience is required
- Knowledge of patient registration systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
