Certified Medical Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing and Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter billing information and submit invoices accurately and timely
• Code medical services and diagnoses based on provider notes and analyze chart notes for documentation deficiencies
• Provide billing support by reviewing and adjusting claims, and manage ad hoc operational projects as required

Required Qualifications

• Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
• More than 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic math
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage billing performance metrics
