Certified Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Reimbursement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with billing and internal standards, managing patient accounts receivable and conducting denial analysis
• Analyze accounts receivable for payment inequities and collaborate with contract management to resolve payment issues
• Maintain departmental charge master files and assist in practice startup and new service lines to ensure compliance and revenue capture

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products, focusing on spreadsheets and word processing
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology
• Certification as a CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, or CCA by AHIMA
• Four years of experience in CPT and ICD 9 CM coding, medical billing, and reimbursement
