Chromium Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer, Chromium (Contractor).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead projects to improve Chromium architecture and develop new features
• Participate in the on-call rotation for Chromium engineering, managing incidents and supporting upgrades
• Enhance the engineering team's efficiency by updating the Chromium codebase with security and infrastructure improvements

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of production-level coding experience, with at least 5 years in C++ and Chromium development
• Flexibility and interest in working across the entire tech stack, including learning Swift
• Experience managing critical projects or initiatives independently
• Motivated by complex problems and comfortable in a startup environment with rapid product validation
• Availability for 4+ hours of overlap with team members in the Eastern Time Zone
