Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately code diagnoses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy
• Conduct audits of medical records to identify trends and improve documentation practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• 2+ years recent outpatient medical coding experience
• One of the following coding credentials: CPC, CRC, CCS, or similar
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, Category II, and CPT coding
• Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
