Key Responsibilities
- Accurately code diagnoses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy
- Conduct audits of medical records to identify trends and improve documentation practices
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- 2+ years recent outpatient medical coding experience
- One of the following coding credentials: CPC, CRC, CCS, or similar
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, Category II, and CPT coding
- Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
