Cloud Vice President

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vice President of Cloud to lead their cloud infrastructure and reliability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and enforce service level objectives (SLOs) and lead incident management for proactive reliability
• Manage the AWS environment and oversee a significant budget while driving cost/performance tradeoffs
• Standardize and evolve both the Rails monolith and Go/Kubernetes services stack to improve deployment and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• 10-12+ years in engineering with at least 5 years leading Infra/Platform/DevOps/SRE teams
• Extensive experience with AWS, particularly in high-volume, 24/7 systems
• Proven experience operating Ruby on Rails applications in production on AWS
• Expertise in Kubernetes, particularly EKS, for mission-critical services
• Strong background in Terraform, CI/CD automation, and observability practices
