Coding Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Educator to develop and facilitate coding education programs for coders.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and update the coding education program for inpatient and outpatient coders
• Collaborate with leadership to identify educational needs and develop relevant curriculum
• Track and manage continuing education units (CEUs) and credentialing for coding associates

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in auditing or higher-level coding leadership/management
• Minimum of four years of experience in production coding
• CCS certification and either RHIA or RHIT (CPC may be considered)
• Previous teaching experience is preferred
• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is desired
