CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance
• Oversee regulatory compliance and insurance-specific accounting processes, including premium recognition and loss reserves
• Design and maintain internal controls and optimize financial systems to support business growth and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting role
• CPA certification with strong knowledge of GAAP and insurance-specific accounting principles
• Direct experience in the insurance industry, including familiarity with regulatory filings and premium accounting
• Proven track record in implementing and managing ERP systems in high-growth environments
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams, including remote and offshore resources
