Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs in a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable and secure cloud database solutions, including data models and schema designs
• Provision and configure cloud database instances, ensuring data integrity during migrations and upgrades
• Monitor database performance and implement strategies for optimization, security, and disaster recovery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience; degree may be substituted for 8 years of experience
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Experience with cloud database technologies such as Amazon RDS and Azure SQL
• Knowledge of compliance with data protection regulations
