Job Summary
A company is looking for a Digital Accessibility Specialist to support the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current and future states of talking book and braille delivery technology
- Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI tools and text-to-speech functionality
- Research integration possibilities with existing NLS products and assess patron acceptance of new technologies
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility technology
- Expert-level knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act/Section 508a of the Rehabilitation Act (ADA/508)
- Expert-level knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Current knowledge of related accessibility technologies
- Minimum three (3) years of applied experience with collaborative/co-design approaches prioritizing the preferences of people with disabilities
