Director of Development

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Development to implement and manage a comprehensive development strategy to support its mission and programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement an annual fundraising plan, generating approximately $3M from institutional funders and major gifts
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and cultivate major donors while managing government grants processes
• Oversee gift processing and maintain accurate donor records, preparing regular reports on fundraising progress

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or a combination of related educational and work experiences
• 5+ years in external relations, such as fundraising or public relations
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Familiarity with databases and data management
